AWN Consulting is part of the Jacobs and IDOM JV team awarded a €14M contract for Dublin's Metro project.

The team will develop the engineering design of the project, working to obtain planning approval and bring the project to construction. The planned light rail system will run from the city to Dublin airport and Swords with both surface running sections and underground sections constructed in cut and cover and bored tunnels.

AWN Consulting will undertake environmental assessment of the chosen route in relation to Air, Water and Noise disciplines.

Main construction work is due to start in 2021, with a plan to be open in 2026.
